Alefs Harley-Davidson Rumble by the River
Noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 1
Start: Alefs Harley-Davidson, I-135 & 53rd St. North
End: Main & Waterman

Rev your motor and get your bike ready to Rumble on the River. The ride will start at Alefs Harley-Davidson for some food, fun and shopping for Harley-Davidson gear. Then head off on a scenic ride, visiting several well-know bike stops, and end up at a classic rock stage in the heart of Riverfest. For more information call (316) 440-5700.

Archery Tag® Tournament
10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sat., June 7
Location:  WaterWalk (adjacent to Waltzing Waters)

Archery Tag® is an exciting and competitive new sport that combines the adrenaline rush of paintball with the skill set of traditional archery. Intense enough to satisfy thrill seekers and safe enough for kids to play, Archery Tag® is recommended for players ages 10 and up. Five member teams participate in double-elimination games set-up in 6 divisions. Registration deadline is May 23.

Cardboard Regatta
1-3 p.m.
Location: Douglas Street Bridge
Brought to you by: B98-FM
The tools? A stack of cardboard, a roll of duct tape, pool noodles and a box cutter (for the responsible adults). The challenge? Build a river-worthy vessel in 1 ½ hours or less. There is no limit to the team size, but at least one team member must ride in the regatta. Awards will be presented for fastest time, longest float and most spectacular sinking.

Dodge, duck, dip and dive to stay alive in this fast-paced game for all ages. Six-member teams participate in double-elimination rounds by age group.

Location: Kids Corner at WaterWalk
Area high schools vie for the title of Riverfest Drumline Champions, a cash prize of $500 and the right to kick off the action at the Spirit AeroSystems Rockin’ on the River Concert.

Paddle Battle Kayak Races
Preliminaries: 4:30–7:30 p.m., Sat., May 31
Finals: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sat., June 7
Location: Douglas Street Bridge
It’s a race to the finish line 1,000 ft. downstream! No entry fee, but plenty of fun as you vie for a chance to return the following Saturday for finals.

Rosie the Riveter Look-A-Like Contest
Registration onsite: 1–3 p.m.; Judging: 3 p.m., Sun., June 1
Location:  Kennedy Plaza Stage
WWII saw the rise of the pin-up girl, but this girl won our hearts and the war. She was the iconic Rosie the Riveter, and Wichita was home to many women who went to work in factories across the country. Muster your inner “Can Do” spirit, don your work clothes and bandannas and compete to become Riverfest Rosie! The winner will receive a set of tools and a $100 U.S. Savings Bond. KANSAS HEALTH FOUNDATION RIVER RUN

BRING IT!
A Riverfest tradition, River Run features a terrific downtown route adjacent to the Arkansas River, a high-energy finish line, bib tag timing and live music at the WaterWalk Stage. Get your game face on and challenge family and friends as you go for the gold! All registrants receive a Riverfest button and commemorative T-shirt. Finishers of every race receive a medallion and complimentary finish line breakfast. An awards ceremony will take place on the WaterWalk Stage immediately following completion of each race.

Save $5 on the 10K and 2-Mile runs with Early Bird registration, Nov. 1, 2013 through Feb. 28, 2014.
